Usually, the sealing ring used on the filter element is O-ring seal, which is generally made of nitrile rubber, natural rubber, neoprene, EPDM, viton, silicone rubber and blended rubber. In addition to the O type, there are triangular, rectangular, D-shaped, T-shaped, square-shaped, heart-shaped, X-shaped, pentagonal, and olive-shaped.
O-ring: Mainly used for static and reciprocating seals. For rotary motion seals, only for low speed rotary seals. Advantages of O-rings:
1. The sealing ring have good sealing performance under working pressure and a certain temperature range, and the sealing performance can be automatically improved with the increase of pressure.
2. The friction between the seal device and the component should be small and the friction coefficient should be stable.
3. The sealing ring has strong anti-corrosion ability, is not easy to aging, has long working life and good wear resistance, and can automatically compensate to a certain extent after wear.
4. The structure is simple, easy to use and maintain, and the seal ring has a longer life.
Advantages of a rectangular seal:
1. It can be cut from the pipe with the precision of the size, and it has high production efficiency and cost saving.
2. Uniform pressure distribution, high work reliability, good sealing performance and long service life.
3. There will be no distortion when installing, and the cross-section stability of the sealing ring is good.
4. Under a large pulse force, the sealing medium will not be discharged with the movement of the sealing ring. When the pulse force is decreased, the sealing will not leak.
5. Under the action of long-term frequent vibration or alternating stress, the sealing ring will not be squeezed out of the sealing gap and damaged.
6. When the pressure is too high, the seal will not break.
